QME Contract Mining Division has its own professional "in house" management team, and employs a large number of skilled miners and utilises an extensive equipment fleet. While engaged in Mining and Tunnelling contracts, we provide Equipment, Mechanics, Personnel, Management, Planning Expertise, Engineering and Training.
QME are currently engaged in various size mining projects, mainly large scale Underground Mine Development and Narrow Vein Gold Mining, Stope extraction, Rehabilitation, Underground construction and services installation, and also Exploration drilling providing all required Plant, Labour, Materials & Planning.
Our Contract Mining & Tunnelling Division also comprises shotcrete Batching and grouting expertise coupled with direct access to Normet chemicals and technical backup.
The division also has the capability and expertise to handle, crush and screen large volumes of waste rock and ore on surface or open-pit mines.

QME developed in excess of 14 kilometres of underground tunnels since 2009.
The QME fleet consists of a large and varied fleet of modern underground mobile equipment, which is continuously updated to latest generation models, to suit both large and small contracts. The current equipment fleet consists of Jumbo Drills, Bolting Rigs, Shotcrete Sprayers, and Emulsion Charging Units, a variety of Loaders and Haulage Trucks, service and utility vehicles.

Our shotcrete operators are fully experienced and use only the highest quality equipment available for the processes and services.
QME has installed its own batching plant, located on site at Tara Mines to supply the mine with all concrete products requirements.
Shotcrete is delivered directly from the batching plant on surface directly to the working faces located at vertical depths of over 1 kilometre.
Quality Control and Quality Assurance testing is carried out on a continuous basis to ensure highest quality product resulting in highest safety standards being achieved.
